ENSHRINED BENEATH THE BLOODY EARTH - MELBOURNE

An apparition born of Australian death metal alumni, Malignant Aura channels forlorn echoes of the past into crushingly bleak, original Death Doom. Their debut album, 'Abysmal Misfortune is Draped Upon Me', is a sombre reflection on the spectral and corporeal aspects of the human struggle. Sorrowful melodies and bludgeoning riffs form tortured, oft lumbering death metal - for fans of genre classics like Paradise Lost, Incantation, Hooded Menace, Mournful Congregation, Disembowelment and My Dying Bride.

Carcinoid was formed in 2018 in Melbourne, Australia. The band embodies raw crushing death/doom elements but also forging their sound by incorporating a lot of other stylistic sludge, punk and hardcore influences. Their sound is characterised by lofi guitars, distinct and prominent bass, guitar feedback, noise and deep, growling vocals. They have named influences of their music such as old school death metal classics- Autopsy, Napalm Death, Paradise Lost, Meth drinker, Corrupted, Pungent Stench, Obituary, Grief, Carcass, Early Cathedral and Brutal Truth.

During the dismal Australian winter, Malignant Aura and Carcinoid will haunt all capital cities of the east alongside similar, sickening death and doom metal bands. Be present to be consumed by the shadow and partake in this lugubrious ceremony.
