About the event
Welcome to a night that will be filled to the brim with local musical talent! Three of these bands contain members who were (or still are) students of the Melbourne Polytechnic Bachelor of Music course, and they're all eager to prove their worth in the ever-growing Melbourne music scene.
Aidan Black is an eclectic individual with even more eclectic music. Described as "crazy", "insane" and several other synonyms, the band will blow you away with their unique spin on progressive metal tomfoolery in an all-original set. The band will be playing songs from Aidan's most recent release, "About Time", as well as two unreleased songs that will appear on the next album. Having only recently played with bands such as Dyssidia and Wallet Inspector, Aidan is itching to bring his head-banging riffs, mean blasts and blistering leads to the masses.
Melbourne/Naarm-based Hard Rock/Groove Metal band. Ransom Revue have managed to go from strength to strength, bringing out an absolute beast of a performance every time they hit the stage. Known for their energetic sets and high level of musicianship, their debut EP ‘VOL. 1’ perfectly captures everything the band has delivered and promises to deliver throughout their career.
You can guarantee that whether you're streaming or watching live, Ransom Revue will BRING IT!
Landmarks is a jazz/rock fusion band that specialises in brain-teasing and face-melting with their creative original music.
They have been playing since 2019 and are looking forward to releasing their debut EP in the near future! With catchy melodies all the way to sweeps galore, they'll be sure to entertain.
Cassettes is the definition of a melting pot, with influences from metal, to jazz fusion, to garage and beyond, and they're excited to be cooking up a special performance to open the show
